Did ‘D2: The Mighty Ducks’ Wolf “The Dentist” Stansson make an appearance in the 2022 NBA Draft?
Twitter certainly thinks so after the cameras turned to Chet Holmgren’s family at Barclays Center on Thursday night when the former Gonzaga star was selected second overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
As Holmgren’s father, David, got some airtime, social media started cracking jokes.
“Chet Holmgren’s dad looks like an early 1990s movie villain. Ponytail, blazer over black tee,” one user joked. Another wrote“chet holmgren’s dad looks like the bad guy in the kindergarten cop.”

Others trolled their comparisons a decade into the 80s, with a viewer writing“Chet Holmgren’s dad looks like an 80s movie villain. Think Terry Silver from The Karate Kid.
The Post had projected Holmgren to Oklahoma City despite chatter about the 20-year-old’s physical makeup. After being drafted, he told reporters he is “proud to represent” the Thunder fanbase.
In his freshman year at Gonzaga, the 7-foot Holmgren averaged 14.1 points per game.
