CF Montreal gets to work

CF Montreal players participated in their first training session of the 2022 pre-camp on Wednesday at the Olympic Stadium, two days after undergoing mandatory physical tests.

Under the supervision of head instructor Wilfried Nancy, the club’s color-bearers got down to work in preparation for the Major League Soccer season and also the scheduled CONCACAF Champions League round of 16 duel. on February 15 and 22 against Santos Laguna.

Forwards Bjorn Johnsen and Mason Toye were missing, as were defender Robert Thorkelsson and midfielder Ahmed Hamdi. According to journalist Frédérique Guay of the TVA Sports channel, the four men are subject to the Garber circuit protocol relating to COVID-19. Toye and Thorkelsson are not in Montreal, unlike Johnsen and Hamdi.

The team will continue its activities at the Olympic Stadium until January 27 before flying to Florida for the rest of their camp.
