Centennial High School closes campus Friday after 17-year-old enters building | News

FRANKLIN, TN (WSMV) – Franklin Police responded to a report on Thursday of a vehicle entering Centennial High School.

Officers are investigating the 17-year-old suspect who drove his vehicle through the glass doors of Centennial High School at 8:41 p.m. located on Mallory Lane in Franklin. The suspect left before the police arrived.

Authorities said the building suffered extensive damage.

The driver refused to stop at first, but was taken into custody by Williamson County Sheriff’s Deputies at Page High School on Arno Road at 9:07 p.m.

Authorities said no one was injured in the incident and charges against the 17-year-old suspect were pending.

The Centennial campus will be closed Friday to assess and repair the damage.
