Canucks fall 5-1 to Sabres, lose another game

VANCOUVER — Victor Olofsson had two goals and an assist as the Buffalo Sabers defeated the Vancouver Canucks 5-1 on Saturday night.

Rasmus Dahlin contributed offensively with a goal and an assist for the Sabers, who have won four of their first five games this season.

Alex Tuch and Zemgus Girgensons added a goal for the visitors as Casey Mittelstadt assisted on two goals for the Sabres. Craig Anderson made 29 saves.

Conor Garland scored the lone goal for the Canucks, who suffered a sixth straight loss. The Vancouver squad is the only NHL team without a win this season.

Thatcher Demko blocked 22 of 26 pucks aimed at him in a losing cause.
