California gun owners are angry, so to speak, after a state Department of Justice website leaked their personal information this week. Didn’t Attorney General Rob Bonta assure the Supreme Court last year that his office could be trusted to protect the personal information of nonprofit donors?

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday it has been made aware of a massive data breach affecting concealed carry permit holders in California. Mr. Bonta arrived a day later and revealed that the names, dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, addresses and criminal history of every Californian who had applied for a license between 2011 and 2021 had been released.
