According to the New York Post, Marissa Young, 44, of Torrance, was walking her dogs around 1 a.m. when she was attacked from behind by a man who pushed her to the ground and raped her.

Young told CBS News she was fighting for her life for « probably three-quarters of the attack, » which lasted nearly half an hour.

Young told KTLA that she was not happy to learn that the suspect was released from prison so soon after his previous arrest.
