California baby is delighting the internet with cool dance moves while learning to walk


An up-and-coming dance star is apparently lighting up social media.

Little Declan Russell from Chino, California, just 14 months old, was learning to walk when he surprised everyone around him by dancing instead – showing off some impressive moves and moves and also reveling in the process.

In a video posted by his mother, Amanda Russell, to her TikTok account – “amanduhlovesyou” on September 15, 2022 – baby Declan can be seen taking a few hesitant steps before shrugging his shoulders and bouncing to the music that was playing.

Russell captioned his video, « Learning to walk can be hard sometimes, » with a winking emoji with tongue sticking out.

« Come on! Come on, buddy! » people can be heard saying in the background as little Declan’s family cheered him on as he walked forward.

Smiling, he then showed off his dancing skills.

Little Declan then grabbed onto the door of a nearby freezer to keep his balance while continuing to dance to the beat of the song.

The original video has been liked over 1.8 million times on TikTok and has been shared nearly 60,000 times.

On Instagram, the post has over 150,000 likes and has been shared by many big accounts.

She said it was « incredible » to see Declan’s dance moves go viral.

« We all know how cool he is, but for the world to see him and read all those sweet comments, it was so awesome, » she said.

Declan Russell even delighted in dancing for his family – and kept smiling and moving even after grabbing onto a nearby fridge to steady himself.

Declan’s dancing days are far from over, according to Russell.
