The horse has been a tradition since 1948 when a group of Calgary fans jumped on a 14-car train from Calgary to Toronto in the team’s first Gray Cup appearance.
The Stampeders faced the Ottawa Rough Riders where they won by a score of 12-7. Since then, the volunteer group has grown to more than 70 members, bringing western hospitality to the Gray Cup every year, whether the Calgary Stampeders play in the big game or not.
Tuffy Nuff is a Percheron, with very beautiful black hair and a white star on her forehead.
At 17, the horse competes by day but is a movie star by night. The mare has made appearances in Murdoch Mysteries and Women While speakinga movie that will be released soon.
Gray Cup fans can keep an eye on the horse all week as they prepare for the Gray Cup.
The Gray Cup kicks off on Sunday, November 20 at 5 p.m. CST.
