Nitin Nabin likely to be elected
BJP’s active national president Nitin Nabin is likely to be elected unopposed as there are few indications of another leader entering the race, PTI reported citing party sources.
Top party leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, are believed to be supporting his candidature.

If elected, Nabin will succeed JP Nadda, who has held the position since January 2020. Notably, Nadda has also followed a similar trajectory, having first been appointed national working president of the BJP in June 2019 before being elected unopposed as party leader, according to PTI.
Political context and experience
Nitin Nabin, 45, hails from Bihar and represents Bankipur assembly constituency. He was a minister twice in the government of Bihar.
Son of late BJP veteran and former MP Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, he is considered within the organization as a leader with strong ideological foundations.
Nabin has a long association with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and is considered deeply committed to organizational work. His elevation, if confirmed, is expected to mark a generational shift in the party’s leadership structure, according to the PTI.
