Biker seriously injured in crash with North York pickup truck

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after colliding with a van in North York.

Toronto police said the accident happened on Steeles Avenue West and Hwy. Zone 400 on Sunday afternoon.

A motorcyclist was found with serious injuries and rushed to hospital via an emergency run. The driver of the van remained at the scene.

Toronto paramedics told CityNews another victim was being assessed at the scene. It is not known if this individual was the driver of the van.

Police said the westbound portion of Steeles Avenue West is closed to Norfinch Drive and the southbound ramp to the freeway. 400 Steeles Avenue West is closed for the investigation.
