Amazon can never run a sale on its own. While the annual event of the annual GIANT days of retail takes place from October 7 to 8, Best Buy launched a competing “Techtuber” sale which is live until October 12.
A Best Buy representative tells me by email that the one-week event includes “some of the most popular offers this fall in technology such as laptops, televisions, headphones, video games, electric bikes and more.” New brands are added to the sale every day, and all features are available online, in the Best Buy mobile application and stores.
Amazon is organizing a two -day fall savings event for members of its program has been prevailing each year since 2022 – and each year since 2022, Best Buy has organized its own simultaneous sale. (Previously, it came in the form of a 48-hour flash sale.) The best time also purchase a savings event to execute alongside the large flagship sale of Amazon in July, so this type of counter-programming is normal for the course.
Amazon’s first October day arrives on October 7 – here are more than 30 early offers to shop now
Best Buy is not the only retailer to give Amazon a race for his money this month. Walmart is organizing a “Walmart Deals” event from October 7 to 12, and Target is organizing one of its sales of the Circle week from October 5 to 11. In particular, the first Big Days of Amazon are the only event that locks its offers behind paid membership.
I spent several hours crossing the Techtuber sale to find the offers that deserve to be bought from Best Buy instead of Amazon this week. Until now, I have identified more than five dozen products that are either matching prices or cheaper at Best Buy, or only available on sale there. It is either because Amazon does not carry the article (see: My beloved Asus Zenbook A14, now at only $ 580) or because it sold on Amazon (see: the Irobot Rochaba 10 Max + Autowash Dock combo, now at only $ 600).
