Bengals exchange against a quarter of the Browns Joe Flacco following Joe Burrow’s injury

The Bengals of Cincinnati exchanged against the quarter of the Cleveland Browns Joe Flacco.

The Browns will also send a sixth round choice in 2026 to Bengals and will receive a fifth round choice in 2026. The Browns confirmed the exchange on Tuesday.

Bengals take the plunge while their season has intensified following an injury to the toe of the lawn which should put aside the quarter of the Joe Burrow franchise for most of the season. Burrow was injured in week 2.

With the replacement Jake Browning as a quarter, the Bengals lost 48-10 against the Vikings, 28-3 against the Broncos and 37-24 against the Lions while a projected attack as one of the best in the League has stagnated.

It quickly became obvious that Bengals could not remain competitive with Browning, and they discussed several options in the quarter-Arrière, reports Dianna Russini from The Athletic. They did not call the giants about exchanges against Jameis Winston or Russell Wilson, according to the report.

Flacco, a veteran of 18 seasons in the NFL which has started most of his career, will probably take over as a quarterrier starting from Cincinnati once he is acclimated to his new team.

Flacco joined the Browns this season after playing in 2024 for the colts. On a list made up of the Dillon Gabriel and Sheder Sanders recruit quarters, Flacco was appointed leaving before the season and started the first four games in Cleveland.

The Browns demoted Flacco for the benefit of Gabriel after a 1-3 departure for a week 5 game against the Vikings.
