Ben Stiller meets Ukrainian leader – POLITICO

It’s not just politicians lining up to meet Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Hollywood stars are on board.

The actor Ben Stiller was in Kyiv on Monday in his role as UN goodwill ambassador, and went to meet the Ukrainian president.

The ‘Zoolander’ and ‘Meet The Parents’ star shared Zelenskyy: “It’s a great honor for me. You are my hero. You gave up a great acting career for this. Zelenskyy was a famous face in Ukraine before taking office, starring in « Servant of the People, » a sitcom about an ordinary man who became an unlikely president.

Stiller isn’t the first celebrity to meet Zelensky since the invasion of Russia. Ukrainian actress Mila Kunis and her husband, Ashton Kutcher, had a Zoom call with the president in March. In May, U2’s Bono and the Edge performed at a Kyiv metro station.
