Auger-Aliassime to play for back-to-back ATP Tour wins in European Open final


Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime has reached his second consecutive ATP tennis final.

The 22-year-old Montrealer edged out Frenchman Richard Gasquet, 7-6 (2), 7-6 (3) in Saturday’s semi-finals of the European Open ATP 250 in Antwerp, Belgium.

Second-seeded Auger-Aliassime will face American Sebastian Korda for his third ATP title on Sunday at 10 a.m. ET. Korda beat Austria’s Dominic Thiem in Saturday’s other semi-final.

Auger-Aliassime is coming off his second ATP Tour victory last weekend at the Florence Open, where he beat American JJ Wolf in the final.
