Attacker randomly stabs man in the stomach on a New York street

A bully randomly stabbed a man on a Midtown street early Wednesday in a filmed attack, police said.

The assailant approached his 34-year-old victim from behind outside 135 West 36 Street just before 1 a.m. and launched his attack, stabbing the victim in the abdomen, cops say.

Video of the assault provided by the NYPD shows the shocked victim throwing a bag at her attacker before walking away.

Suspect walked down West 36 Street. The police are still looking for him.

The victim was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue with a deep abdominal injury. He is listed in critical, but stable condition.
