Asia Economic Calendar October 10, 2025 – RBA’s Bullock and Fed’s Daly speak

Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Bullock and Deputy Governor (Financial Markets) Christopher Kent will testify in Parliament this morning, Sydney time (from 9:00 a.m. local/10:00 p.m. GMT/6:00 p.m. US Eastern Time).

The most recent context for the RBA is that at its September meeting the Bank kept its key rate at 3.60%, following three cuts earlier in 2025. The decision, although widely expected, had a particularly “hawkish” tone, with the bank signaling the risk that inflation in the September quarter could be higher than expected. As a result, market bets on a rate cut in November have weakened significantly.

Later in the session, Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco President Mary Daly participates in a moderated conversation in front of the Silicon Valley Visitors Exchange. At 01:40 GMT/9:40 p.m. US Eastern Time.
