The head of the CAQ, who is due to go to Rouyn-Noranda at the end of the day to support his local candidate, affirms that the fate of the Horne Foundry is in the hands of local citizens.
“The company says it, we will not be able, in the short term, to go down to three nanograms (per cubic meter of arsenic). Technically, it’s not feasible, what I’m saying, there are 600 direct jobs in Rouyn-Noranda at $100,000 a year, it’s up to the citizens of Rouyn-Noranda to decide.
According to the outgoing Prime Minister, it is above all not up to Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois to make the decision on behalf of the citizens.
Remember that the riding of Rouyn-Noranda-Témiscamingue is currently represented by the solidarity Émilise Lessard-Therrien.
