Arrest made months after fatal shooting of Toronto man
A man is facing a charge of second degree murder in connection with a homicide in North York.
On the evening of May 9, Toronto police responded to reports of gunshots heard around 8:30 p.m. in a parking lot in the Jane Street and Wilson Avenue area.
A man was found with gunshot wounds and examined by paramedics before being pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later determined that a vehicle had been hijacked by the suspect, who drove off through the Sheridan Mall parking lot.
The homicide victim has been identified as Calvin Andre Scott, 32, of Toronto.
Tuesday, police arrested Nashon Marshall, 28, of Toronto. Marshall faces charges of second degree murder and robbery with a firearm.
He will appear in court on Wednesday.
