Army doctor’s TikTok tearing up Roe v. Wade goes viral

A U.S. Army doctor recently tore up the U.S. Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade in a TikTok post that gained new attention after right-wing internet personality Jack Posobiec shared on Twitter on Saturday.

In the three-minute video shared on June 24 – the day the landmark decision was released – a currently deployed female army doctor said she woke up from a nap and heard the news before rant about the decision.

“I just extended my contract to continue serving this country a week ago. How am I supposed to swear to uphold and defend the Constitution and a country that treats its women like second-class citizens?” she bubbled. « How am I supposed to do this? How am I supposed to do this with pride? How am I supposed to do this with love and honor? »

« How am I supposed to wake up every day and put on a fucking uniform that says ‘United States Army,’ when the United States gives a damn about me, » she continued. “It gives more shit about the guns they’re allowed to buy to kill the children I’m forced to give birth to. Think about it.

The recorded rant from TikTok user rahasenfratz – who received nearly 30,000 likes and over 1,200 comments on TikTok – was captioned « I’m heartbroken. I’m furious. I’m terrified. »

In it, she said removing the constitutional right to abortion has an “unintended consequence” on female members of the military.

« This effect on female servicemen is an unintended consequence, which means lawmakers and Supreme Court justices probably didn’t have it in mind when they wrote their 213-odd-page report on this, didn’t they? not it? » explained the doctor.

“They probably weren’t thinking about that consequence. But it is, and it affects the very people that these lawmakers hold to a higher standard because they support the troops,” she added. “Really, though? Do you really support the troops, even if it will greatly reduce the retention of women in the ranks of this army?

The TikTok user scoffed, « You support the troops, even though you’re going to ruin some women’s careers. »

The deployed military member noted that she had “extremely limited access to birth control” and that “women in the military are more likely to experience unplanned pregnancies.

« You can’t even get an ultrasound without traveling off base, » the unidentified woman said.

At the end of the clip, she pledged to fulfill her contractual obligations to serve the United States – while speaking out about the effects of the controversial Supreme Court ruling.

« I signed this contract, so I will serve my country, » she said. « But you bet your ass you’ll hear my voice, because I won’t stop. » I won’t rest and I won’t shut up because this is an attack on the women of this country, 100 percent. »

In a tweet posted on Saturday, Posobiec shared the video with his followers, captioning it « BREAKING: Woke Female Army Soldier Questions Loyalty to United States after Roe v Wade Decision. » In response, users of the social media platform expressed outrage.

« That’s good, but refusing an experimental vaccine is not. @POTUS destroyed our army,” fumed « Yankee in the South » Twitter account, referencing the mandate of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines for members of the US military.

“Maybe you should just reread your contract and shut up. @The American army you have a problem with no allegiance here”, added another critic.
