Armie Hammer seen in Los Angeles after his return with Elizabeth Chambers

Armie Hammer resurfaced in Los Angeles more than a year after his self-inflicted banishment.
The « Call Me by Your Name » star was photographed outside the Great White restaurant in Venice, Calif., on Monday wearing rolled up gray pants, a graphic tee and flip flops. He held a face mask in one hand and a glass bottle of Pellegrino in the other.
This is Hammer’s first appearance on American soil since moving to the Cayman Islands after his « cannibalistic » scandal. He has been in Los Angeles with his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers and their two children, Harper, 7, and Ford, 5, for a few weeks at Robert Downey Jr.
Vanity Fair reported last week that the 57-year-old ‘Avengers’ star had financially supported Hammer, 35, throughout his scandal – in which he also accused of raping a woman known as ‘Effie – and even paid the bill for her six-month stay at a rehab facility in Florida.

The ‘Death on the Nile’ star and his family moved to the City of Angels to escape media attention after it was revealed he was selling timeshares in Cayman Islands.

« I cannot confirm or deny the report as Armie has not responded to it, » Hammer’s attorney said in a statement to Page Six last Friday. « I just think it’s shitty that if he’s selling timeshares the media is shaming him for having a ‘normal job’. »

Hammer having a supposedly ‘normal’ job seemed odd to many, considering he’s the great-grandson of oil tycoon Armand Hammer, but it turns out he was ‘cut’ from the family wealth.

« His dad doesn’t want to help him anymore, and he got cut off, so he got down to business, » a source told People of the disgraced actor, who denied the allegations against him.
