Armed Texas suspect reportedly barricaded himself inside burning house, 1 cop injured

A fire burns at a home in Tarrant County where an armed suspect is believed to be.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office told FOX 4 that officers were dealing with a fire as well as a barricaded suspect at the same location in Fort Worth, Texas on Thursday, but did not provide further details. .

Footage from the FOX 4 helicopter shows black smoke coming from what appears to be a burning trailer and vehicles.

According to CBS DFW, an officer suffered life-threatening injuries after the suspect began shooting at law enforcement.

During the confrontation, the suspect placed “incendiary devices” on the porch of the house and started the fire.

Law enforcement officers were originally at the home to arrest a suspect in connection with a felony warrant.
