Today Apple has published a brand new firmware for AirPods Pro 3, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4. Here are the details.
The new AirPods firmware arrives before iOS 26.1
AirPods Pro 3 users, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4, a new firmware is available for download today.
The new version of the firmware is 8A358.
This is an increase compared to the latest published versions of 8A356 for the AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods 4, as well as the 8A357 version of the AirPods Pro 3.
Apple has not yet detailed the specific changes included in the last firmware. It is likely to offer the “bugs and other standard improvements” that we see with most of the micrologists.
It is also very possible that this new version is preparing AirPods for expansion of live translation in new languages in iOS 26.1.

IOS 26.1 is still in the beta test phase, but a public launch is expected later this month.
Unlike its other software platforms, Apple’s output calendar for the new AirPods firmware tends to be quite irregular. New micrologists are often published for some time before or after a corresponding iOS update, but the two rarely synchronize exactly.
This is partly due to the strange nature of the installation of airpods firmware.
Apple currently offers no ways to manually install new firmware updates.
Instead, you must follow the step -by -step instructions recommended by Apple and wait for the installation to be done automatically.
Have you installed the new AirPods firmware and if so, have you noticed differences? Let us know in the comments.
