Anne Heche remains hospitalized in “stable” condition after fiery car accident, relatives ask for “prayers”

Following Anne Heche’s car accident on Friday, the actress remains in hospital and « is currently in stable condition », a spokesperson for the 53-year-old star said. People in a report.

« His family and friends ask for your thoughts and prayers and respect his privacy during this difficult time, » the rep said.

People confirmed that the Emmy winner is intubated and suffered severe burns after hitting a house with a car. The accident, reported by TMZ, performed in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The full extent of Heche’s injuries remain unknown, however, his burns are believed to be severe. No other people were reportedly injured in the crash.

The famed outlet also reports that Heche was driving a blue Mini Cooper and first crashed into the garage of an apartment complex before later crashing into a nearby house. Residents of the building attempted to drag Heche out of the car, but the actress sped away before they could help her. Shortly after, Heche crashed into the home in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, setting the building on fire shortly before 11 a.m. local time.

A photo of Heche obtained by TMZ appears to show a red-capped bottle in his vehicle which the outlet says could be a bottle of liquor. The incident is still under investigation by Los Angeles authorities.

A video of Heche being taken away on a stretcher appears to show his charred clothes. Covered in a white cloth, she reportedly sat up at one point while on the stretcher and thrashed around wildly before being put into an ambulance.

ET Canada has reached out to Anne Heche’s rep, but so far no word back.

Actor Thomas Jane, who dated Heche from 2019 to 2021, released a statement that also offered an update on his condition.

« Although Anne and I are no longer together, today’s tragic news has been devastating for me and everyone who loves her, » Jane said in a statement to the Daily Mail.

« My heart goes out to Anne and her two sons, » Jane’s statement continued. « At the moment Anne is stable and should be fine. My thoughts and prayers are with Anne, one of the true talents of her generation. Thank God no one else was injured.

Heche’s ex-husband James Tupper, with whom she co-starred in the TV comedy « Men in Trees, » also shared his « thoughts and prayers » for Heche, sharing a photo on Instagram of her and their son, Atlas.
