Andy Cohen reacts to the departure of Ramona Singer from « RHONY »

Andy Cohen has called out the hypocrisy of some Bravo fans after Ramona Singer announced she was leaving the ‘Real Housewives of New York’ after 13 seasons on the show.
The Bravo boss finally addressed Singer’s exit on his Sirius XM radio show, « Radio Andy, » on Wednesday, saying « people saw it coming. »
« It’s interesting, [it’s] one of those hilarious things from the internet, which is, every time it was mentioned, it was « Please, no Ramona ». You go on Twitter, « Get rid of Ramona! » “Cohen joked.
« But the second Ramona announces she’s leaving, ‘Nooo, Ramona is a legend!’ Like, it’s so funny. It’s so funny. »
Cohen, 54, then praised Singer, 65, for giving the franchise many years of « incredible television » – before suggesting his exit seemed a bit dodgy.
« I had a great conversation with her about this a few weeks ago and she was – I think she’s very optimistic about what she has in her life right now, » he said. for follow-up. « I’ll leave it there. »
The singer exclusively told Page Six last week that she was leaving the hit reality series after joining the cast in 2008.
« I don’t want to do the show anymore, » she told us. « It’s not for me right now. »
However, other sources tell us that the network didn’t offer him the chance to join the « Legacy » series — a potential reason for Cohen’s skepticism about his exit.
Insiders say Bravo executives’ decision to drop Singer from the new show came after she began trashing the « Legacy » show in the press.
“I’ve been here a long time. I mean, never say no, never say never,” she said on the “Reality with the King” podcast late last month when asked to join the spinoff.
« But I also feel like the ‘Legacy’ [show], how could it be really good? The people they’re going to bring back are the ones they didn’t want to renew anyway.
The singer continued her rant, joking that the show should be called « ‘The Loser Show' » or « ‘Loser Legacy' ».
While the official cast list hasn’t been revealed yet, the new Bravo series is expected to feature some former fan-favorite « RHONYs » — such as Jill Zarin and Kelly Bensimon — as well as newcomers.
