An emergency alert is issued to warn that a person with a knife may be linked to the Sunday stabbings

A Saskatchewan emergency alert was issued Wednesday warning that a person armed with a knife was traveling in a white 2008 Chevy Avalanche.

The vehicle has Saskatchewan license plate 953 LPL and was reported stolen around 2:10 p.m. in Wakaw, Saskatchewan.

The warning said he was traveling for the last time in Wakaw along Cemetery Road.

The alert said it could be linked to the Sunday fatal stabbings.

Residents of the Wakaw area are asked to take shelter, exercise caution when letting people in, and call 911 in the event of an emergency.
