There will be no rehearsal at Flushing Meadows for Emma Raducanu.
The defending US Open women’s champion lost to Alize Cornet 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday.
Cornet, 32, knocked down the 19-year-old Canadian to advance to the second round of the tournament. She will then face Katerina Siniakova.
“Emma is a great person and a great player, so I’m sorry I beat her,” Cornet said after the match. “I was tired at the start of the second set because there were long rallies.”
