Amazon’s annual Prime Day October sale is happening this week, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find better deals elsewhere. Rather, Dell is having its own “early holiday sale” that starts today and, frankly, several of these deals are incredible. One of the main reasons is that the price of Nvidia graphics cards has been falling quite steadily lately. This is a great opportunity to upgrade your gaming PC just in time for some high-profile game releases like Battlefield 6.

Among the new GeForce cards, the RTX 5070 Ti is considered the best value for 4K gaming. It performs neck and neck with the RTX 4080 Super (and better in games that support DLSS 4), meaning it’s capable of high frame rates in all games, even at 4K resolution. It also has the same amount of VRAM as the RTX 5080, making it a more economical alternative to the 5080 for AI work. Check out our Nvidia Geforce RTX 5070 Ti GPU review.

Compared to previous generation GPUs, the GeForce RTX 5060 is about 15% more capable than the RTX 4060. It will run just about any game at 1080p at frame rates up to 60fps. 1440p is also a viable option, although you’ll see an improvement moving up to a 5060 Ti at this point. Like all RTX 50 series GPUs, the RTX 5060 supports DLSS 4.

Alienware’s new mainstream gaming laptop for 2025 is dubbed “Alienware Aurora” and replaces the previous generation x16 and m16 laptop series. It comes in two models: the 16 and the 16X. The 16 is the most budget-friendly model, but gamers should definitely opt for the higher-end 16X model. If you are looking for build quality and performance comparable to the previous generation m16, then the 16X is its spiritual successor. It features an anodized aluminum lid and base, a higher-quality screen, a more powerful processor, and a GPU that isn’t throttled for maximum gaming performance.
New for 2025, the Alienware Area-51 Gaming Laptop features an anodized aluminum shell for the lid and bottom chassis with a beautiful iridescent finish. The frame is made of a durable and lightweight magnesium alloy. Cooling has been improved with generous amounts of copper and a new thermal interface material to better transfer heat from your hottest components, plus more fans and larger cutouts for better airflow. Dell claims the laptop can handle a higher power ceiling of up to 240W TDP without increasing acoustics.
Design-wise, the Area 51 has a sleeker, more streamlined shape compared to previous models, with rounded edges and soft corners replacing the traditional square design. The hinges are positioned inside so that they are almost invisible. There is a transparent window on the undercarriage to show the internal components. As befits an Alienware laptop, there are plenty of RGB illuminations, although most can be turned off if you want your laptop to look a little more subtle.
