Alicia Kenny of Loveland, Ohio missing after going for a walk

Ohio investigators are searching Wednesday for a missing 23-year-old woman whose backpack was found abandoned after she left the house for a walk and never returned, police said.

Alicia Kenny, from Loveland, is listed as a ‘critically missing person’ after going missing on Saturday night. His whereabouts remained unclear as of midday Wednesday, police officials confirmed to The Post.

Kenny’s mother said her daughter lived with her grandparents and left their house to go for walks, as she frequently did to write or draw in local parks.

« It’s really hard to think what could happen, » Marcy Kenny told WLWT. « She just left. »

A delivery driver found Kenny’s backpack in a Loveland subdivision before she went missing. Montgomery police then dropped him off at Kenny’s home after the driver brought him to cops, WLWT reported.

Alicia Kenny was last seen wearing dark pants, a white shirt and sandals.

« And that’s when everyone realized that she wasn’t there, that when she left on Saturday night, she never came home, » Marcy Kenny said. « In the backpack was his phone, his ID, his wallet, everything. »

Kenny said his « very religious » daughter never went anywhere without her backpack, which also contained her Bible.

« It’s something that is extremely close to his heart, » the distraught mother told the station.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has joined the search for Kenny, WCPO reported.

Detectives were working on several tricks in the investigation to find Kenny, who is known to frequent parks and has no known vehicle, police said.

Kenny, who is about 5ft tall and weighs 110lbs, was last seen wearing dark pants, a white shirt and sandals, police said.

« Literally all she has is the clothes on her back, » Marcy Kenny said. « Without that backpack, she has absolutely nothing. And honestly…we can’t think of any scenario where she would have pulled out the backpack and left of her own accord.

Cops attended Marcy Kenny’s home on Wednesday to give her an update on the search, she told the Post, while confirming her daughter remains missing.

Investigators had previously obtained an object containing Alicia’s DNA, her mother told WCPO.

« In case she is found, they want to be prepared, » Marcy Kenny said. « And just thinking about it takes us to a very deep, dark place that we try to avoid. The thunderstorms that hit [Tuesday] night, if she was alone there… that’s a very painful thought.

Kenny’s friends, meanwhile, have asked Facebook for help in the ongoing search to find her.

« She called people asking for a ride and to our knowledge she was never picked up by any of her friends, » one post read. « Her belongings were found in her backpack which was abandoned and picked up by a UPS driver on their way…If you see her, please call 911 immediately. »
