An Alberta teenager has been charged after allegedly posting evidence he was violating a court order on social media.

Lac La Biche RCMP said Monday they arrested a 14-year-old boy who lived in the community after seeing an Instagram post showing a photo police say he was holding four guns on Thursday.

« Officers identified the man at this position and it was known that he had ordered the court not to possess any weapons, » the RCMP said in the statement.
Constables attended a residence with a search warrant and RCMP dog services and found one real firearm, eight imitation firearms and bear spray.
The youth is charged with Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Order, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm/Prohibited Weapon or Authorized Weapon restraint.
He was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Lac La Biche Youth Court on December 19.
