Tuscaloosa, ala. (WHNT) – Two football players from the University of Alabama were honored as play players of the week.
Alabama QB Ty Simpson and Alabama Ol Kadyn Proctor received recognition after defeating the University of Georgia 24-21 on Saturday.
Proctor was appointed co-offensive line of the week while Simpson shared the co-offensive distinction of the week.
Honor is the second in Proctor’s career and the first for Simpson, increasing the Total of the Crimson Tide at three weekly prizes this season.
Kadyn Proctor highlights vs UGA (offensive line player of the week):
- Played each cliché on the left tackle against the Bulldogs classified fifth
- Severed at a team top of 89% by CRIMSON TIDE coaches staff
- Did not allow pressure or bag at night
- Helped to keep Ty Simpson Standing because the tide offensive line did not allow a bag against the defense of Georgia praised
- Added a capture-trapping for a gain of 11 yards and an Alabama first at the bottom, on several defenders of Bulldog along the way
- His efforts on the game have set up the final touch of the Crimson Tide, which would eventually turn out to be the difference in the game
Ty Simpson vs uga (offensive player of the week):
- A counted three affected in total in the victory of Crimson Tide 24-21 at the time. 5 Georgia
- Finished 24 out of 38 for 276 yards and two affected in the air
- Spread the ball in eight different passagers at night and on average 11.5 yards per completion
- Added four rushes for 12 yards and a score with his legs
- Converted a pair of first key downs while adding a touch of two yards on its four races
- Helped UA to finish with 397 total infringements and first 25 Downs against one of the main defenses in the country
- Played a major role in the crimson tide converts 13 of the 19 thirds of the night, the most against the UGA by any team in the past 30 seasons
