Adventure inspired by Retro Zelda “Mina the Hollower” was delayed for Switch 2 and Switch

The new title of Yacht Club Games Mina the Hollower was on the right track for an outing on October 31, 2025, but it seems that the plans have now changed.

In an official declaration on the company’s website, the “Delay Extravanganza” continues – with the team behind this new adventure inspired by Zelda Retro to make the “difficult decision” to delay the title on Switch, Switch 2, and all the other platforms, because “it is simply not quite there”. Fortunately, this delay is not major.

This week, our team made a difficult decision: we decided to delay Mina the Hollower. The entire crew worked tirelessly day and night to finish development for its release on October 31, but we are simply not there yet. It’s not a major delay, it’s just a time of time to apply a final varnish and balancing to make the game shine.

That said, we would like to apologize! However, we will not be on our commitment to quality. Our goal is to make sure that our development team has time and resources to offer an incredible adventure and we will just give you that. It is not a hollow promise!

We do not want to announce another release date before it is subject to the platforms, so please tighten you firmly when we reach the finish line.

The game is SO About to be done – we play it from start to finish every day. In the last hours, this is what the crew is working on:

– Finalize design, art and sound
– Global game balancing
– Implementation of location
– Eat cheese
– Test, test, test … on all platforms!

As indicated, there is not yet a new release date, but again, it seems that fans will not have to wait too long, because it adds the final varnish to select areas to ensure that the game “shines”. The original launch date was previously revealed in August this year, and next to it was the launch of a free demo, which will even postpone the backup of the final construction.

During the last month, games like Borderlands 4, Professor Layton and Terminator 2D: no spell was also delayed.
