Santa Clara, California, October 06, 2025 (Globe Newswire) – AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) and Openai announced today an agreement of 6 Gigawatt to feed the AI ​​new generation infrastructure of OPENAI on several generations of GPU AMD Instinct. The first GPAWATT deployment of GPU MI450 AMD Instinct MI450 should start in the second half of 2026.

AMD’s solid leadership in high-performance computer systems and OPENAI’s pioneering research and progress in the generative AI places the two companies at the forefront of this important and pivotal moment for AI.

Under this final agreement, Openai will work with AMD as a basic strategic calculation partner to stimulate large -scale deployments of AMD technology, starting with the AMD Instinct MI450 series and AI solutions on a rack scale and extending to future generations. By sharing technical expertise to optimize their product roadmaps, AMD and Openai deepen their hardware and multigenerational software collaboration that started with the MI300X and continued with the MI350X series. This partnership creates a real win-win for the two companies, allowing deployments of AI on a very large scale and making the entire ecosystem progress.

As part of the agreement, to further align strategic interests, AMD has issued a mandate up to 160 million ordinary AMD shares, structured to acquire specific milestones. The first tranche is accompanied by the initial deployment of 1 Gigawatt, with additional slices which pay while purchases extend up to 6 gigawatts. The acquisition is also linked to the DMA to achieve certain equity prices objectives and to open the achievement of the technical and commercial stages necessary to allow large -scale AMD deployments.
