ABBA plans to take their Voyage show around the world.

The ‘Waterloo’ hitmakers – consisting of Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Agnetha Fältskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad – have reunited for the groundbreaking concert residency which features virtual ‘ABBAtars’ showcasing the band as it was in the 1980s. 1970.

The performances were staged in a purpose-built venue in London, but Benny’s son Ludvig – the show’s producer – explained that the plan was to build similar venues around the world.

He told Retro Pop magazine, “I would love to go places that might not be the most obvious.

“It would be nice to take him to places that aren’t always visited by large groups. The dream would be to have one somewhere in South America, one somewhere in Southeast Asia, one in North America.

Ludvig also revealed that the band performed many hits while recording the show so it could keep changing over time.

He said, “We did more songs than we knew we were going to use. So there is more material.

Bjorn had previously suggested that ABBA contemporaries would study the revolutionary hologram format.

The 77-year-old musician said: « A lot of artists will certainly study us. I won’t name names, but I can think of a few. I wonder who will be the first. I couldn’t comment.

Before the first performance, the star admitted he lost sleep over ABBA’s return.

He said: ‘It’s a huge risk and most people I talk to don’t appreciate it. They say, ‘Oh, that’s fine. Sometimes I wake up at four in the morning and think, « What did we do? »
