A young man shot dead in Dorval

A young man was found dead Tuesday evening in Dorval. He would have been hit by projectiles from a firearm in the upper body, found the police when they found him.

Police received a call about a person lying on the ground near the intersection of Carson and Mimosa avenues around 11 p.m. When he arrived on the scene, the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) pronounced the man dead, aged in his twenties.

A security perimeter has been delimited in the area in question. Investigators from the SPVM’s Major Crimes Squad are currently analyzing the scene. They are accompanied by forensic identification technicians and by members of the canine squad.
