A man succumbs to his injuries after going off the road in Joliette

JOLIETTE, Qc — A man who was found in his car in a ditch in Joliette, Lanaudière, unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
Police officers from the MRC de Joliette were called around 10:20 a.m. regarding a vehicle that allegedly left the road on route 343 in Joliette, between rue Albert-Geoffroy and rang de la Petite Noraie.
A passerby saw the vehicle and called the police. The road accident would have occurred in the previous hours.
“According to initial information, the driver seems to have left the road by missing his curve and found himself in the ditch in a wooded area not very visible from the road”, indicates the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ ), Katherine Bernard.
The driver was alone in the car. He was taken to hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead.
A collision investigation officer came to the scene to investigate the scene and understand the circumstances of the accident.
