A man seriously injured in a fight in an underground garage

A man was seriously injured following an altercation downtown on Thursday.

Police said they were called to a building in the Bathurst and Front streets area just before 1 p.m. following reports that two men were fighting in the underground car park.

When they arrived, they found a grown man with injuries.

Paramedics say the man was taken to a nearby hospital in serious but not life-threatening condition. The extent of his injuries is unknown.

Police have not released any further details, including a possible description of the suspect.
