A cement truck driver in danger of death following a road accident
A cement truck driver suffered life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 400 Friday night.
OPP say just before 6 p.m., the cement truck was traveling southbound on the highway near Finch Avenue when it suffered a flat tire and was involved in a collision with another vehicle. The force of the accident propelled the truck into the north lanes of the freeway.
Video provided by police shows the mixer drum separated from the truck which was largely destroyed in the crash.
The driver was extracted from the wreckage and taken to a nearby trauma center.
The OPP said Friday night that he suffered life-threatening injuries.
