A 22-year-old man shot in Montreal North

A 22-year-old man was shot on Joseph-Dufresne Street, near Lacordaire Park, in the Montreal-North borough, around 1:40 p.m.

The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) confirms that the individual was hit in the upper body, possibly by a projectile from a firearm. He was treated in a hospital in the Montreal region, in a conscious state.

The victim is known to the police, but the perpetrator of the attempted murder fled before the arrival of the authorities and has not yet been arrested.

A security perimeter was set up at the scene of the event for a complete analysis of the crime scene.
