“I used to say that I’ve lived most of my life on airplanes, because I’m constantly traveling for work and pleasure,” she said. Architectural compendium in 2021. “But the pandemic was the first time I was home for an extended period of time.”
That’s when she decided to redecorate her longtime home in West Hollywood and make it more hospitable to guests of all ages and species, noting, “I want to have kids over, I have dogs, and I have friends over.”
And while Nina is still geographically all over the place, “I love entertaining and cooking, schedule permitting,” she told Food 52 in December. “Honestly, any excuse to have people over.”
When life is busy, “it’s really therapeutic to be at home, turn everything off, put on a playlist, choose a recipe at random and destroy my kitchen in the process.”
