For Katie Ledeckyliterally every day is a training day.

Yes, the nine-time gold medalist considers a day off to be a day off, as she told E! News in an exclusive interview, “one day when I only A practical.”

So it’s safe to say that her workout routine, not to mention the food that fuels her, has it down to a science.

“I usually work out in the morning at six in the morning,” Katie explained, “and so I get up around five. At this point, I usually have a quick snack, like a banana and some quick oatmeal.

After getting out of the pool, she does a weight training session, so it’s not until 9:30 a.m. or 10 p.m. “that I’ll have a larger meal,” she continued. “This two-egg omelette, scrambled eggs or hard-boiled eggs, with vegetables, fruit and toast.”

And that’s just the morning session.

“I’ll have a late lunch – a larger snack – before my afternoon swim practice,” she detailed about preparing for her second set of workouts, “and then after a little practice, I’ll have dinner.”
