Who is Professor KC Sinha?
Born on December 29, 1954 in Bhojpur district, Bihar, KC Sinha topped the board exams and bagged a National Merit Scholarship. He gained admission to Patna Science College for his intermediate studies and later pursued bachelor’s and master’s degrees. degree there, earning a double gold medalist.
He is renowned for his contributions to mathematics education. He wrote his first book, Cooperative Geometry, at the age of 28 and since then he has written over 70 books. His books have been included in the school curriculum of Bihar and other states for 30 years and have helped students prepare for engineering entrance exams and higher secondary education.
Professor Sinha has worked hard to provide good quality education to talented students who may not have enough resources. He has been involved in the Awasar Trust, which trains students for the JEE exam for free and is also part of a special program of the Bihar education department that trains IIT Patna students without charging them.
He is known for solving complex mathematical problems in a simple and understandable way. He has worked with renowned publishing houses like Eduwiser, Bharti Bhawan, Students’ Friends, Rastogi Publication, JNPP and Kiran Prakashan.
It is actively working with Eduwiser to use technology to bring quality education to the remote villages of India, especially in states like Bihar, Jharkhand, UP, Jammu and Kashmir, West Bengal and Odisha. He also helped promote girls’ education in Bihar by creating free digital learning materials for NGOs.

Prof. Sinha has held important academic positions, serving as vice-chancellor of several universities in Bihar, including Patna University, Nalanda Open University and Magadh University. He has won several prestigious awards including the state’s highest education award called Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Shiksha Puraskar, the Icons of Bihar Award, the Global Excellence Award and the Pioneers of India Award.
The 2025 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11. The counting of votes will take place on November 14.
