HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A portion of Gates Avenue will be temporarily closed due to a permitted private event beginning Thursday, Oct. 9.

Huntsville Police say Gates Avenue, between Greene Street and Lincoln Street, will be closed in front of 300 Gates Ave. from Thursday October 9 at 1 p.m. to Sunday October 12 at 10:30 a.m.

According to HPD, access to First Presbyterian Church will remain available from Lincoln Street to Gates Avenue.
