Before the Pixel Watch 4 officially goes on sale tomorrow, Google is rolling out Wear OS 6 to the Pixel Watch 2 and 3.
Based on Wear OS 6 and Android 16, BP3A.250905.014.W3 is rolling out to the Pixel Watch 2 and 3. This includes Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and LTE models.
There are no updates for the original wearable today, but this 2022 device should receive Wear OS 6 since software updates are guaranteed until at least October 2025. That said, Google’s release notes today only mention the Pixel Watch 2 and 3.
This follows the latest Pixel Watch update in June. Google moved to quarterly Wear OS releases for the Pixel Watch, but there was nothing in September (but note today’s version number).
As always, tapping the “Your watch is up to date” screen several times (Settings > System > System updates) starts the download. To speed up the process, open Connectivity Preferences and turn off Bluetooth to force Wi-Fi.

Google today released factory and OTA images for the Pixel Watch 4, codenamed “menari.” Given the new Quick Charge Dock, the Pixel Watch 4 “requires a debug adapter that Google distributes by invitation only” to flash OTA images. It’s like the original watch.
This update brings the complete overhaul of Material 3 Expressive, including updated lock screen keyboard, quick settings, and notifications. Dynamic color based on your watch face is now available on your wrist. This theme applies to notifications, tiles and certain applications.
With this update, the redesigned alarm, stopwatch, and timer apps are live to match the refreshed icons.
Visit the Play Store after installing OTA for additional app updates for Wear Media and (Pixel) Weather.
This Wear OS 6 update does not bring the new watch faces introduced with the PW4.
