On CNN’s “The Situation Room” Wednesday, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson (D) said President Donald Trump is unhinged and therefore a “threat to our democracy.”
Host Pamela Brown said, “The city of Chicago and the state of Illinois are suing the Trump administration over its federalization of the Guard troops. City and state officials consider this illegal. Johnson said: “Well, you know, first of all, this president is unstable, unhinged, an irresolute individual who, frankly, poses a threat to our democracy. »
He added: “And this is certainly not the first time that Donald Trump has unfairly called for the arrest of a black man. I’m not going anywhere. I’m going to stand firm as mayor of this incredible city, which has been voted the best big city in America for nine years in a row. And we’re going to stand up for all of Chicago.”
