After bad weather on Oct. 7 postponed the Detroit Tigers’ third ALDS game against the Seattle Mariners by more than two hours, the baseball player turned Fox Sports MLB studio analyst was forced to suspend his father’s duties.
“Sorry, it’s a rain delay,” Derek said on live television, after receiving a phone notification. “I had a meeting. A parent-teacher conference that I’m going to miss.”
