A 13 -foot Halloween Halloween decoration was stolen in the courtyard before a Corona house, and its owner – a big fan of the character “Nightmare Before Christmas” – hopes for his return.
Images of a neighbor’s security cameras show Sunday at 5 am, a person dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt and a pants walking strongly in an alley while wearing the decoration of Halloween elongated with 48 pounds horizontally, his bone fingers extending to the sky.
The video sequences, examined by the Times, show the man heading to a four -door vehicle black and place the decoration on it.
Avelina Rodriguez has lived in her house Corona on Grand Avenue for five years.
For three of these years, she said to Times, she set up the Jack Skellington Animatronic for Halloween and continues during the Christmas season decorated with a Santa Claus outfit that her mother-in-law made for this.
“I am a big fan of Jack Skellington, and I collect a lot of (filmmaker) Tim Burton Merch,” said Rodriguez. “It was by far my biggest purchase.”
The decoration is registered for sale on the Home Depot website for $ 500.
During her years living in the Corona region, she said that she had never heard of this kind of flight and was devastated that someone had taken her decoration.
“It’s sad when people fly others and they don’t know who they fly, people who work hard with back stories,” said Michelle Saiza-Paz, Rodriquez’s friend who helped make the incident known.
The Corona Police Service is aware of the incident, said Robert Montanez, head of information from the department.
A flight report was taken by a community service agent; However, the investigation is currently closed, he said.
“The manager of the community services who manipulated (the case) told the victim that if something else appeared or if they have obtained another video, we would be happy to watch it,” said Monayne.
Montnez said he couldn’t talk about this type of flight was common in the city.
He encouraged residents to report flights or other types of crimes in the police to help identify trends or possibly recurities.
Rodriguez said she hoped Jack would have returned to her or found.
“Let’s put Jack back!” Saiza-Paz said.
