The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) called the Bihar Bandh on Thursday, September 4, to protest against the insulting remarks presumed against the mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Making this announcement, the president of the Bihar BJP, Dilip Jaiswal, told journalists that NDA Mahila Morcha directs the demonstrations.

“The NDA Mahila Morcha called for the closure of the Bihar on September 4. This closure will take place from 7 am to noon, ensuring that the public will not face any challenge. Emergency services and railways are excluded from this closure,” said Jaiswal.

“As it is a question of respecting mothers and sisters, Mahila Morcha will assume responsibility for the success of this event for the first time in Bihar. All the facilities will continue afternoon,” he added, according to the Anima news agency.

Prime Minister Modi had said: “Congress still lacks respect for President Droupadi Murmu, who comes from a poor tribal family. It is very important to put an end to this hatred policy towards women. What kind of language is used?

“The country of India has never forgiven those who mistreat mothers. The RJD and the Congress should apologize to Chhathi Maiya. Everyone should demand answers from the RJD and Congress. There should only be one voice in each street and locality, ‘Maa Ko Gaali Nahin Sahenge, Nahin Sahenge’. RJD and Congress, “he added.
