Microsoft discreetly started testing Windows 11 dark mode improvements in the preliminary versions of the operating system in August. The changes are now official, with improvements in the consistency of the dark mode in the actions of the file explorer such as the copy, the movement or deletion of files and folders.
If you try to copy a large file in Windows 11, a clear mode dialog will be displayed even if the dark mode is activated. This changes, in parallel with the displacement and deletion dialogue boxes and to certain other Windows 11 parts. Microsoft claims that it also works on a “more coherent dark mode experience” in progression bars and graphic views, confirmation and error dialogue boxes, as well as guests to jump, replace and select files.
Microsoft introduced a dark fashion option for the first time in Windows 10 in 2016, and it took almost a decade to the company to focus on making it more consistent. There are still many fields that Microsoft will have to improve, including the execution prompt, the user of the file properties, the configuration panel and the user user interface in the file explorer.
