The Supreme Court, for the moment, rejects Google offers to block changes in the App Store

The Supreme Court rejected a Google emergency request on Monday to prevent it from being forced to make a series of modifications to its appearance of play, effectively opening it to competition.

The court order did not provide reasoning or voting enumeration, as is typical of these emergency decisions.

The decision opens the way to the order of a lower court to enter into force as scheduled on October 22. In a long -standing dispute between Google and the creator of Fortnite video game, the trial judge ordered Google to stop obliging developers to use his application shop to invoice payments, allowing them to provide other ways to pay and set their own prices, among other modifications.

The emergency measures of the court dealt with the imminent deadline but have not resolved the underlying dispute, which could return to the judges for a more in-depth examination. In his emergency request last month, Google said he was planning to request a complete Supreme Court exam by October 27. If the judges agreed to hear the case, it could be argued in court.

The fight began in 2018, when Epic Games, the Fortnite manufacturer, published the Popular Game as a smartphone application. The company first distributed the game via direct downloads and the Samsung Galaxy Store, but finally offered it on Google Play.

But the game manufacturer has integrated secret code into the application software which allowed players to bypass the required payment processing systems of Google, which billed a commission of 30%. Epic Games has created a plan to counter the requirements of the App Store, the IT Project Liberty code.
