Bihar elections: voting in two phases on November 6 and 11, the result on November 14, announces EC

The election of the Bihar Assembly will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, the electoral commission announced on Monday, October 6. The result will be announced on November 14.

The mandate of the State Assembly of 243 members ended on November 22.

More than 7.4 crores of people will exercise their franchise, including 14 voters for the first time, announced Gyanesh Kumar, chief elections commissioner (CEC). “There is a total of 7.42 voters grows in Bihar, 3.92 of whom are men and 3.5 crores are women. More than 500 companies from the central armed police (CAPF), including more than 5,000 people, will be deployed for the Bihar elections.
